UOK– ICCBS Admissions 2025 M.Phil Programs

The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences ICCBS, a world-class research institute affiliated with the University of Karachi UOK, is now accepting applications for its M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs for the year 2025. ICCBS houses two prestigious institutes: the H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry and the Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research PCMD, both renowned for their cutting-edge research and academic excellence.
UOK Admission open Following Programs:
Molecular Medicine at PCMD, covering disciplines such as Molecular and Cellular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Molecular Pharmacology, Neuro-Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Biopharmaceutics, Computational Drug Discovery, Structural Biology, Stem Cell Research, and Molecular Pathology.
Chemistry and Pharmacology at H.E.J. Institute, including Organic, Analytical, Physical, Inorganic, Applied, Bio-Organic Chemistry, Textile Chemistry, and Pharmacology.
Eligibility Criteria
For M.Phil. in Molecular Medicine PCMD:
Applicants should have an M.Sc. or a four-year B.S. degree in Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Physiology, Zoology, or equivalent professional degrees such as MBBS, B.S., B.Pharm., Pharm.D., with at least a second division from an HEC-recognized university. MBBS, BDS, DVM holders must complete 15 credit hours of prerequisite courses before starting the M.Phil. coursework.
For Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine PCMD:
Candidates must hold an M.Phil., M.Pharm., or an equivalent qualification with a solid research background.
For M.Phil. in Chemistry/Pharmacology H.E.J. Institute:
A relevant M.Sc. or four-year B.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Applied Chemistry, B.Pharm., Pharm.D., or equivalent with at least a second division is required. Candidates with MBBS, BDS, DVM must complete required prerequisite courses before beginning M.Phil. coursework.
For Ph.D. in Chemistry/Pharmacology H.E.J. Institute:
Applicants should have an M.Phil., M.Pharm., or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Physiology, or Zoology from an HEC-recognized university.

Application Process
Submit the completed application along with required documents and a processing fee of Rs. 8000/- to the Academic Coordination Office Room No. WO-2, ICCBS between Monday, 23rd June 2025 and Monday, 7th July 2025.
Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Important Dates
List of eligible candidates for the Karachi University Entrance Test will be published on Friday, 18th July 2025 on official websites.
Admit cards can be collected from 21st to 23rd July 2025 at the Academic Coordination Office, ICCBS.
The Entrance Test will be held on Sunday, 27th July 2025, at 9:30 a.m. Candidates must bring their admit cards and original CNIC.
Results will be announced on Sunday, 3rd August 2025 via the official websites.
