University of Health Sciences Lahore Public Notice:Open Admission 2024

The University of Health Sciences UHS , Lahore, has issued a public notice regarding the open admissions for the session 2023-24 in private sector medical and dental colleges under the Punjab Governments Vacant Seat Policy. This policy aims to fill remaining vacancies in private sector medical and dental colleges after the standard admission procedure has concluded.

Background:

The standard admission procedure for private sector medical and dental colleges in Punjab concluded with the publication of the Fifth Selection List of MBBS and Seventh Selection List of BDS on February 14, 2024, and February 28, 2024, respectively. Following this, any remaining vacancies will be filled in accordance with the Punjab Governments Vacant Seat Policy.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who applied through the University of Health Sciences online application portal for admissions to private sector medical and dental colleges within the specified deadline but failed to submit fees by the due date are eligible to apply for admission against available vacant seats.

Candidates already admitted to any public sector medical/dental college or private sector medical college are not eligible to apply for admission to vacant seats.

Candidates admitted to private sector dental colleges are eligible to apply for admissions to vacant seats for private sector medical colleges only.

Candidates who are on the waiting list can be considered for admissions against available vacant seats based on their merit.

Admissions will be granted based on the candidates merit, college preferences, and available vacant seats. Candidates will be admitted to colleges with corresponding closing merits of regular selection lists.

Admissions on vacant seats will not affect candidates who are already admitted.

Application Procedure:

Candidates shall provide their consent for admission to vacant seats through the provided link. No fresh application fee will be required.

The portal is solely for existing applicants for private sector medical and dental colleges and is not open for new applicants.

Candidates shall provide a fresh Order of Preference for colleges with available vacancies, which shall be editable until the closing date of submission.

Candidates who do not provide fresh preferences will have their existing preferences considered final.
There is no restriction on the number of colleges to be opted for by a candidate.

Candidates must appear before an Admission Committee to present an Admission Token Fee not exceeding Rs. 100,000/-, which will subsequently be transferred to the assigned college.
Candidates admitted to vacant seats must deposit the prescribed college fee and report to the respective colleges by the specified deadline.

Opening of Portal for Consent: March 1-3, 2024 MBBS / March 8-10, 2024 BDS

Display of Order of Merit: March 04, 2024 MBBS / March 11, 2024 BDS

Appearance of Candidates before the Admission Committee: March 05, 2024 MBBS / March 12, 2024 BDS at 10:00 AM
Deadline for Depositing Fee and Joining at Colleges: March 08, 2024 MBBS / March 15, 2024 BDS

Important Notes:

Vacancy positions and closing merits of respective colleges are available on the UHS website.

It is a one-time opportunity, and failure to deposit fees and join the respective college by the deadline will result in the cancellation of admission and forfeiture of the admission token fee.
