Universities Admission Formula based on SSC & 1st Year Marks

As the COVID-19 pandemic is spreading in length and width of the country, which caused the lockdown across the country and it has affected the lives of the people. All of the educational institutes are closed now and federal government do not want to endanger the lives of the students so they decided with the mutual agreement of the provincial ministers of all provinces to cancel the matric and intermediate classes annual exams this year. Although this is tough decision but the government has to ensure the safety and security of the millions of the students all over the country. The government issued the directions to HEC and the universities to grant admissions to the students on the basis of the matric and inter part 1 marks. Now Higher Education Commission has issued the clear instructions to all universities of the country to take step of grant of admissions on the basis of the marks of SSC and first year result. The universities should consider including the entry test marks in the merit formula other than the marks of the 10th and 1st year class. There may be some universities, which have to change the merit formula as the matric weightage was not included in their merit policy previously. It is hoped that the most of the universities will start grant of admissions to the students during the month of June and July as the new classes will be started from mid September to avoid loss of time of the students.
