Dr. Muhammad Zohaib Tariq, CEO of LRN and of Pakistani heritage, explained that the subject is academically aligned with traditional core disciplines like physics and mathematics. He emphasized the importance of equipping students early with AI literacy, calling it vital for future academic and career readiness.
“By launching the world’s first fully accredited AI school qualification, we are enabling students globally to gain essential skills and insights for a future increasingly shaped by technology,” said Dr. Tariq.
The United Kingdom is now at the forefront of AI education thanks to this initiative. Meanwhile, in Pakistan, the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen IBCC has granted recognition to LRN as the third UK board—alongside Cambridge and Edexcel—authorized to operate in the country. More than 50 schools across Pakistan have already registered with LRN to offer its international qualifications.
