University of Health Sciences Lahore Announces MBBS and BDS Admissions- Session 2023-24 for Private Medical and Dental Colleges

Eligibility for Merit Seats:

MD CAT 2023: Applicants must have successfully passed the MD CAT 2023 examination. A minimum of 55% 110/200 marks is required for MBBS admission, while a minimum of 50% 100/200 marks is mandatory for BDS admission. Its important to note that the previous years MD CAT, such as the one from 2022, will not be considered for this years admissions.

Academic Qualifications: Candidates must have scored at least 60% marks in their Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or an equivalent qualification. For those with foreign qualifications, the International Baccalaureate Equivalence Certificate is mandatory. Aspirants must have completed their 12th-grade examination with Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths as mandatory subjects.

Domicile: Candidates from any district in Pakistan can apply for admission to private medical and dental colleges. However, as per Section 17 of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Act 2022, candidates with Punjab domicile will not be eligible for these seats.

Eligibility for Foreign Seats:

Permanent Foreign Nationals: Candidates seeking admission to foreign seats must either possess permanent foreign nationality or be Pakistani citizens residing permanently in a foreign country. They must have passed their HSSC or equivalent qualifying examination outside Pakistan with a minimum of 60% marks. Additionally, candidates should provide the International General Certificate of Eligibility IGC when applying. The candidate must be a resident of the foreign country and provide a reference certificate from their institution. Just like for merit seats, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics-Maths are required subjects.

SAT-II or UCAT: Foreign seat applicants must have secured a minimum of 550 marks in SAT-II examination in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics-Maths for each subject, or they should have passed UCAT or UCAT with a minimum score of 50%.

Conversion to Merit Seats: In cases where foreign seats remain vacant due to a lack of eligible candidates, these seats will be converted into merit seats. In such situations, candidates will be required to pay the relevant fees and dues for merit seats, and ineligible applicants will not be admitted.

Merit Formula for Admissions:
Admissions to MBBS and BDS programs will be determined based on a merit formula that considers various factors, including Matric, SSC, semester exams, FSC HSS, pre-medical semester, and more.

Online Portal: To apply, candidates should visit the dedicated online admission portal of private medical and dental colleges on the official website.

Account Creation: Create an account using your name, fathers name, email ID, and password.

Program Selection: Choose between MBBS and BDS programs. Its not necessary to submit MBBS or BDS fee receipts at this stage, but candidates should indicate their preferences.

Personal Information: Enter personal details such as name, domicile, contact number, address, nationality, gender, date of birth, etc.

Applications must be submitted solely through the online portal for private sector applications.
All merit lists and selections will be posted on the official UHS website.
Candidates whose names appear on the final lists should pay the specified fees within the deadline.
