Udacity and AWS Introduce AI and ML Scholarship Program

The AWS AI and ML Scholarship, provided by Udacity, is designed for intermediate and university students aiming to establish careers in Artificial Intelligence AI and Machine Learning ML. This program will grant scholarships to 2,000 students, offering them the chance to join monthly virtual mentoring sessions with industry professionals. Over four months, students will acquire essential skills needed for a career in AI and ML, receiving guidance and career advice from experts at Udacity, Amazon, and Intel. Scholarship Program Details
Sponsored by Amazon Web Services, the AWS AI and ML Scholarship aims to support underprivileged students interested in technology. AI and ML are rapidly advancing fields that are driving the automation of various sectors. The World Economic Forum predicts that by 2025, technological advancements and automation will create 97 million new tech jobs, including many in AI and ML.
AWS Scholarship Application Process
Initially, students must enroll in AWS DeepRacer Student and participate in the AWS DeepRacer Student League. This provides access to 20 hours of AWS AI and ML content at launch, 10 hours of model training, and 5 GB of storage each month. Students must also opt into the AI and ML Scholarship to meet the application requirements.
Udacitys Python Nanodegree Program
Udacity will award 2,000 students with a scholarship for the AI Programming with Python Nanodegree program, split into two cohorts 1,000 students in the summer and 1,000 in the winter. These students will also have the opportunity to attend monthly virtual mentoring sessions with industry experts.
Second Udacity Nanodegree Opportunity
The top 500 students from the initial scholarship group will be offered a second Nanodegree Program Scholarship to further prepare them for careers in AI and ML. These top students will also receive one-on-one mentorship from seasoned machine learning experts from Amazon, Intel, and other organizations for 12 months.

UDACITY Scholarship FAQs
Program Duration:
The program runs from April 10 to August 12, 2024. It is self-paced, allowing students to complete it early if they wish.
Udacity Connect Sessions:
These sessions occur regularly on the same day and time, as communicated via email and the dashboard. Attendance is mandatory, and failure to attend may result in discontinuation from the program.
Project Review Process:
Projects are reviewed by human evaluators who provide feedback and guidance. The possible outcomes are:
Meets Specifications: The project meets all requirements and passes.
Requires Changes: The project fails but with specified areas needing improvement. Students can resubmit after making necessary edits.
Ungradeable: The project cannot be graded due to issues such as incorrect files or unsupported formats. Students can resubmit after addressing these issues.
Maintaining Program Enrollment:
Students must maintain progress in the first three weeks to avoid being removed from the program. Projects must be submitted by the deadline of May 12, 2024.
Re-application for Non-graduates:
Students who do not graduate on time can reapply. However, they should only sign up if they are committed to completing the program within the specified timeframe.
Access to Nanodegree Content Post-Graduation:
Graduates will have 12 months of access to static course content. This does not include unsubmitted projects and certain services such as community channels, project reviews, workspaces, labs, or quizzes. Access will be revoked for students who do not complete the program by the deadline.
