The University of Agriculture Swat, nestled in the picturesque region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, is a prestigious public sector institution accredited by the Higher Education Commission HEC. It takes immense pride in announcing admissions for the Spring 2024-2027 session in its renowned B.Sc. Hons Agriculture program, offering specializations in five major disciplines: Food Science and Technology, Entomology, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Soil and Environmental Sciences, and Horticulture. Scholarships Available:

The university offers various scholarships to facilitate deserving and talented students:

Diversity & Inclusion Scholarships: Fully funded opportunities are available for five students from Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, Gilgit Baltistan, and the State of Azad Jammu & Kashmir each.

Climate Change and Mountain Agriculture Scholarship: This fully funded scholarship aims to assist students from specific districts of mountainous regions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Merit Scholarships: These scholarships are designed for students who have shown exceptional academic performance, secured positions in Board BISE examinations, excelled in national/international co-curricular activities, or achieved semester-wise academic distinctions.

Application Process:

Prospective applicants can obtain the admission form and bank receipt from the universitys official website http://uoas.edu.pk/UAStudent/Advertisement.

Completed application forms along with attested copies of required documents SSC, HSSC, Domicile, CNIC, two passport size photographs, and the original bank receipt must reach the University of Agriculture Swat by February 9, 2024, either in person or through courier.

Eligibility Criteria & Selection Process:

Eligibility criteria for B.Sc. Hons Agriculture require a minimum of 45% marks in both SSC and HSSC Pre-Medical or Pre-Engineering. For B.S. in Climate Change, the criteria include a minimum of 45% marks in SSC and HSSC Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, or Computer Science.

The scholarships as mentioned in S.No. 1 a and b will be awarded based on merit, following the universitys admission criteria. The merit for admission will be determined by considering the combined percentage of marks obtained in SSC 40% weight and HSSC 60% weight.

The merit list of selected candidates will be displayed on February 16, 2024, on the universitys official website. Interviews/document verification will take place on February 21-22, 2024, at The University of Agriculture Swat, Takhtaband Road Mingora, Swat. Original documents are mandatory for the interview.

Commencement of Classes:
Classes for the admitted students will commence from March 01, 2024.
