TEVTA Enhances Number of IT Students 60,000

Lahore, The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) has played the leading role in producing the qualified individuals to provide the employment opportunities with the projects like CPEC on the horizon.
The authority announced that it would increase the number of students in the IT short courses up to 60,000 all over Punjab province. The chairman of TEVTA said that organization was offering the courses in 135 institutes of authority in different districts of Punjab.
In the first batch of the short course, there were about 5000 aspirants completed the course and in the second batch, same number of students are completing their course. Among the registered candidates of 5090, there were 2230 female aspirants, who is the 40% of the total enrolment. He further added that the IT sector had more opportunities and the women will get more salaries and he urged them to join TEVTA course to get the essential skills to make progress in this IT sector.
He also provided the details of other courses that Microsoft was charging up to $105 per students from TEVTA and now this amount has been decreased by $10. He further added that TEVTA is providing technical education in IT sector to finish the unemployment in the province and this authority has designed the courses to meet the requirements of the market.
