Sindh Govt Declares School Closure Before Eid

The Sindh government has officially announced a holiday for all public and private schools in observance of Shab-e-Qadr. As per a notification from the School Education & Literacy Department, educational institutions across the province will remain closed on Friday, March 28 27th Ramadan. This decision was reached during a sub-committee meeting of the Steering Committee on Education held on November 28, 2024. Eid-ul-Fitr Festivities Expected to Begin on March 31
With Eid-ul-Fitr approaching, preparations are in full swing. The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission Suparco predicts that the Shawwal moon will be visible on March 29, with its sighting expected on March 30. If the forecast holds true, Eid-ul-Fitr will commence on Monday, March 31.
Federal Government Announces Eid Holidays
In addition to the provincial holiday, the federal government has also declared official Eid holidays. A notification from the Cabinet Division confirms that public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed from Monday, March 31, to Wednesday, April 2, granting citizens three days off to celebrate the occasion.
