Sindh Govt Asks for MDCAT Test at Provincial Level

Sindh Health Minister asked for their separate admission entrance test, MDCAT test at the provincial level. They have noticed various irregularities in the declared PMC MDCAT test result 2020. Pakistan Medical Commission was established with the mission to manage the admission test of the candidates in order to settle the eligibility criteria of the students, who want to get admission in the public and private medical and dental colleges all over the country. Sindh government has the view that the syllabus of the medical colleges of Sindh is varied and this admission test is not up to their standard so they approached to Sindh High Court to get the orders over this issue. SHC passed the orders to PMC to form the national syllabus for MDCAT test by considering the curriculum of all provincial boards. PMC did not take action over this order so Sindh Education and Information Minister said that PMC has taken the career of various students at risk. Sindh Govt Asks for MDCAT Test at Provincial Level.
Other provinces expressed their concerns over the admission entrance test of the candidates for grant of admission in MBBS and BDS programs. The provincial government is committed to form Sindh Medical and Dental Council that will have authoritative power to manage medical entrance test at the provincial level. Sindh government said according to 18th amendment, the provinces can start their MDCAT test and the federal government should not violate provincial rights and they can allow the governments to conduct entry test in order to determine the eligibility criteria of the students.
