Schools in Punjab May Reopen from 15 August

The Provincial Education Minister of Punjab said that the Punjab government is considering the issue of opening of the government and private schools across the province from 15 August. When the final decision of the opening of the schools will be made, the schools will be opened in different phases and the necessary classes will start their education in the first phase. The education minister said that if the COVID-19 pandemic situation is improved, the schools will be reopened from 15 August. Schools in Punjab May Reopen from 15 August.
The provincial education minister said that in a class, only 20 students will be allowed to sit but the schools will not be allowed to start their academic activities from 15 July because of the worsening situation of the coronavirus pandemic in the country. The inter provincial ministerial conference was going to be held on 2 July but it was postponed and now the conference will be held on 7 July and the final decision for the reopening of the schools will be made in this meeting.
The National Command and Operations Center recommended that the educational institutes will not be allowed to start their academic activities during July and it is hoped that the schools will be reopened from August. Now the federal education ministry is seeking the suggestions from all provinces and the Higher Education Commission and the special SOPs will be formulated for the opening of the schools, colleges and universities.
