School Education Department Summer Vacation Extension

The School Education Department of Government of Pakistan has issued the notification regarding the extension of the summer vacations in the government and private schools all over the province. Earlier, the School Education Department announced the summer vacations from 01 April to 30 June 2020. Because of the spreading threat of the COVID-19, the department has issued the notification to extend the summer vacations till 15 July 2020. Punjab Education Minister also said that the government has made the decision not to open the schools in Punjab from 15 July and educational institutes will remain closed and the schools may be considered to open on 15 August because of the situation of the pandemic in the country. The schools will be opened in phase wise as no all classes will be allowed to start their academic session on one day and the schools will give education to students in two shifts. The students will have to follow the precautionary measures and they will wear the face mask and also keep the social distancing from other students during the schools hours. It is also decided that maximum 20 to 25 students will be allowed to attend their classes to ensure the distancing among the students.
