School Closing from 24 Nov to 31 Jan 2021 due to Covid-19
Federal Education Ministry conducted a meeting last week to consider the issue of closing of the school and increasing the winter vacations in the educational institutes but the final decision could not be made and it was decided that this matter will be discussed in next meeting. Now Federal Ministry has shared the proposal with the provincial education ministers to think the matter for closing of primary school from 24 November to 31 January 2021. The coronavirus cases are increasing in the country once again and there is potential threat for the young students and the government does not want to take the risk of the lives of the students in the wake of this pandemic, which is affecting the lives of thousands of the people. Federal Government is considering this matter seriously and they want to close the primary school from 24 November and middle schools from 02 December and this proposal is shared with the provincial ministers, which will be discussed in next meeting, which will be held on 23 November 2020. When the provincial ministers will reach to a consensus on the closure of the educational institutes, this decision will be implemented in all provinces to close the educational institutes immediately.
The proposal of extending the winter vacation was also discussed that the winter vacations will be increased than usual because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the final decision will be made during National Command and Control Center meeting, which is scheduled late November.
NCC Important Initiatives
National Coordination Committee imposed the ban on large gathering, which have more than 300 attendees because of the coronavirus cases in the country. It is decided that the outdoor gatherings will be allowed with maximum 300 number of attendees and the matter for the indoor meeting will be discussed and it is expected that the ban will be put on it. The matter of indoor dining will be discussed and the outdoor dining will be allowed and people will be asked to take food at their homes.
The management of the event will be responsible to implement the COVID-19 SOPs and the local authority will check the wearing of the face masks and ensure people will keep the social distancing from others.
