The Commissionerate of Mines Labor Welfare in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced scholarships for the academic year 2023-24. These scholarships are aimed at supporting the education of children, both boys and girls, belonging to mine workers across the province. Eligibility Criteria:
Children of mine workers, ranging from Class 1 to Masters level, are eligible.
Students enrolled in Government Professional Educational Institutions Medical and Engineering are also eligible.
Children who secure positions within the top 50 ranks in any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education are eligible.
Disabled children of mining workers attending Institutes for Special Education are also eligible.
Application Process:
Interested applicants must register on the Mining Labor Department website and fill out the required scholarship form with relevant academic and personal details.
Once registered, applicants need to print the registration and scholarship forms, obtaining signatures and stamps from the respective leaseholder and head of the educational institution.
Required documents such as attested copies of Identity Cards, Schedule A, attestation certificate from the leaseholder, and certified Detailed Marks Certificate DMC from the previous academic session must be attached.
Submission of the online application is mandatory for consideration, and failure to do so will result in rejection.

Only one application per child for the current academic session is permissible.
Providing incorrect information in the application will result in double charges on the childs father mine labor.
Applicants must meet the definition of a laborer as per the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise Duty on Minerals Labor Welfare Act, 2021.
Each miner may apply for the scholarship for only one child.
Students in Prep and Nursery classes are ineligible for this scholarship.
