Revised School Timings Announced in Islamabad

Federal Directorate of Education FDE has released updated timings for schools and colleges across Islamabad. These new hours will come into effect on August 5, following the conclusion of the extended summer vacation. The students will get the fresh updates of Revised School Timings Announced in Islamabad.

New Timings for Single and Double Shift Schools

The revised timings are as follows:

Single Shift Schools:
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 am to 01:30 pm
Friday: 07:30 am to 12:30 pm
Double Shift Schools:
Morning Shift:

Monday to Thursday: 07:30 am to 01:30 pm

Friday: 07:30 am to 12:30 pm

Evening Shift:

Monday to Thursday: 02:00 pm to 07:00 pm

Friday: 02:30 pm to 07:00 pm

Pre-I Montessori/Prep:

Monday to Friday: 08:00 am to 12:00 pm

Ex-FG Colleges:

Monday to Thursday: 08:30 am to 02:00 pm / 04:00 pm

Friday: 08:30 am to 12:30 pm

Extended Summer Holidays Due to Extreme Heat

On Sunday, the Federal Ministry of Education extended the summer break for schools and colleges in Islamabad until August 4 due to severe heat. The official statement read:

“Due to the intense hot and humid weather in the district Federal Capital, it has been decided to extend summer vacation in ICT schools/colleges till August 4, 2024.”

Extended Breaks in Sindh and Balochistan

The provincial governments of Sindh and Balochistan have also extended their summer holidays. Educational institutions in these regions will now reopen on August 15, 2024.

Anticipation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab
With the extensions in Islamabad, Sindh, and Balochistan, students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab are hopeful for similar announcements. However, there have been no updates from government officials in these provinces as of yet.
