QAU Shuts Down Temporarily Following Road Closures

In light of severe traffic blockages in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Quaid-i-Azam University QAU has decided to suspend all academic operations and transportation services from November 22 to November 25, 2024.
Administrative Notification Highlights Reasons
The Registrars Office of QAU issued a formal notice to inform students and faculty about the temporary halt. The ongoing situation in the region has made commuting nearly impossible, prompting the university to take this step.
Exams Deferred Until Further Notice
Scheduled examinations during the closure will be postponed, with a minimum of three days’ advance notice provided before resumption. The university aims to ensure that students are not academically disadvantaged due to this disruption.
Management Approval and Coordination
The decision was approved by the universitys competent authorities. Key officials, including Deans, Department Heads, and Hostel Provosts, have been notified to coordinate the suspension effectively.
