Punjab University Undergraduate Admissions 2024

The University of the Punjab, Lahore, has announced the 2nd Admission Test for Undergraduate Programs for the academic year 2024-25. Recognized as the Most Improved University in Asia in the QS Ranking 2024, and ranked No. 1 in Pakistan for graduate employability and nurturing future leaders, the university mandates that all applicants appear in the PU Admission Test. The second test is tentatively scheduled for 21st July, 2024.

Applicants eligible for the admission test include students who have passed their Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or equivalent Grade 12 education, as well as those who have appeared in their final HSSC examinations and are awaiting results.

The Admission Test will be conducted in seven categories based on relevant academic streams: Pre-Engineering PU-E, Pre-Medical PU-M, Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences PU-AHS, ICS with Physics Combination PU-CSP, ICS with Statistics Combination PU-CSS, General Science PU-GS, and Commerce PU-COM. The tests weightage is 25% of the total merit calculation. The detailed breakup and marks distribution for each category are available at PU Admission Test. The test will be held in major cities of Pakistan.

To register, visit PU Admission Test Registration. The test fee is PKR 2000/- and is non-refundable. Applicants must upload proof of payment to complete the registration process.

For specific programs like Engineering, LLB, Art & Design, and Pharm-D, additional tests such as E-CAT UET, NUST Test, and Drawing/Aptitude Test are required. The MDCAT or PUM test is valid for the Doctor of Pharmacy Program.

The admission notice for all departments will be advertised on 3rd July, 2024. The last date for online registration for the 2nd Admission Test is 2nd July, 2024.
