Punjab Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship 2024

The CM Punjab Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship 2024 has been initiated under the direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. This scholarship program aims to support 30,000 students annually across 68 disciplines. Scholarships will be awarded based on merit to students enrolled in 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges in Punjab. The Honhaar Merit Scholarship also extends to top private universities, including LUMS, FAST, COMSATS, NUST, and the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute.

A significant budget of 130 billion rupees has been allocated for this program, which will be provided over 8 years. The initiative aims to benefit 120,000 students within the next 4 years. This scholarship will alleviate financial barriers for talented students pursuing higher education, allowing them to focus on their studies without economic challenges.

The last date to apply for the Honhaar Scholarship is October 15, 2024. Interested students can apply online at honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk.

Eligibility Criteria for the Honhaar Merit Scholarship:

Applicants must have a domicile from Punjab.
Applicants should not be older than 22 years on the closing date.
Family monthly income should be less than Rs 300,000.
The applicant must be enrolled in selected disciplines at approved universities or colleges for the Fall 2024 session.
Newly enrolled MBBS and BDS students for 2024 are also eligible.
The minimum marks requirement for:

Medical Colleges: 80%
Top Universities: 80%
Public Sector Universities: 75% for sciences and 70% for arts and social sciences
HED Colleges: 65% for sciences and 60% for arts and social sciences
