Punjab Govt Announces To Reopen All Medical Institutions

The Government of Punjab has decided to reopen all medical educational institutions across the Punjab province. On the directions of the Punjab government all medical colleges to start their classes from 27th May 2021 tomorrow. However, the government has ordered to follow the SOPs against corona virus strictly.
According to an official statement of the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department (SHMED) all public and private medical, dental colleges and nursing schools are opening from tomorrow.
As per the directions of SHMED only third, fourth, and final year MBBS students and third and fourth year BDS students will be allowed to come in colleges to attend the classes physically. On the other hand, the students of class first and second year MBBS and BDS are directed to continue their classes online.
The department has strictly made responsible the heads of all public and private medical institutions responsible for the COVID-19 vaccination of all students and teachers as well as non-teaching staff members.
Moreover, the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department (SHMED) has also banned the extra-curricular activities like sports competitions and cultural events in medical and dental colleges and nursing schools.
