Punjab Announces Winter Holidays for Schools

Lahore, Schools across Punjab will remain closed for winter vacations from December 20 to January 10, as confirmed by the provinces School Education Department. The announcement was made by Khalid Nazir Wattoo, Secretary of the department, on Monday.
The extended break comes as a relief to students and staff alike, offering time to rest and spend the holiday season with their families. The schools are expected to reopen on January 11, resuming their academic calendar.
Federal Holiday Causes Exam Rescheduling in Rawalpindi
In a separate development, the Rawalpindi BISE has postponed intermediate practical exams slated for November 13. The decision was taken after the federal government declared a public holiday in the twin cities.
According to Tanveer Asghar Awan, Controller of Examinations, alternative dates for the delayed exams will be announced shortly. However, this rescheduling is exclusive to Rawalpindi, with no changes in other districts.
The practical exams for Physics and Health & Physical Education scheduled for Monday remain unaffected in regions outside Rawalpindi.
