Punjab Announces Winter Break for Colleges

Details of the Winter Vacation Period

According to a notification issued on December 18, 2024, all public and private colleges under the HED’s jurisdiction will be closed from December 24, 2024 Tuesday to January 5, 2025 Sunday.

Classes to Resume After Winter Break

The notification further states that regular classes will resume on Monday, January 6, 2025, following the end of the winter vacation.

BS 4-Year Programs and Examinations

The HED clarified that BS 4-Year programs will remain operational throughout the winter break. Additionally, all scheduled exams will be conducted according to the previously set timelines from the respective boards and universities.

The Secretary of the Higher Education Department issued this notice, with copies sent to key officials, such as the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, and the heads of relevant educational organizations.
