Punjab Announces Updated Study Plan for Matric & Inter Exams

The Punjab Textbook Board PTB has officially unveiled the updated study plan for the 2025 matric and intermediate Inter board exams. This new study scheme outlines the weekly class schedules and the marks distribution for both male and female students preparing for their annual exams in the upcoming academic session. Matric Study Schedule for 2025
The weekly schedule for students in grades 9 and 10 has been carefully structured as follows:
For 9th Class:
Urdu: 5 periods per week
Quranic Translation: 3 periods per week
Islamic Studies and Mathematics: 6 periods each per week
General Science and Optional Subjects: 6 periods each per week
Extracurricular Activities: 1 period per week
For 10th Class:
Pakistan Studies: 6 periods per week
Total Marks for Matric Examinations
The total marks for the combined 9th and 10th class exams in 2025 will be 1200 marks, as per the announcement from the Punjab Textbook Board alongside the study scheme.
Inter Intermediate Study Schedule for 2025
For intermediate students, the following weekly class schedule has been laid out:
Urdu and English: 5 periods each per week
Islamic Studies: 6 periods per week
Quranic Translation: 3 periods per week
Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology: 4 periods each per week
Practical Exam Preparation: 2 periods per week
Total Marks for Intermediate Exams
As with the matric exams, the total marks for the 2025 intermediate exams will also be 1200 marks, in line with the newly released study scheme.
