After schools and educational institutions have reopened, the Punjab Education Department has announced the schedule for exams, educational activities, and a new admission policy for the Rawalpindi division, covering the period from January 15 to May 31. Academic Year 2025-26 and Admissions Timeline

The academic year for 2025-26 in Punjab will officially start on April 1. Admissions for early grades, including Prep, Nursery Class I, and others, will open on February 3. The department has also outlined the important dates for annual exams and student admissions for various classes.

Exam Dates for 2025

The dates for the annual examinations for different levels are as follows:

Matric exams: To begin on March 4

Class IX exams: Set to start on March 21

Intermediate exams: Scheduled for the first week of May Additionally, annual exams for Classes I to VIII will be conducted between March 12 and March 25, with results expected to be released by March 31.

Admission Phases for Government Schools

Government schools will follow a two-phase admissions process:

Phase 1: For Classes I to II, starting from April 1 to May 31

Phase 2: For additional intakes, between August 15 and October 31 New admissions in each class will be allowed up to 10% of the total student capacity, limiting the number of students enrolling in government schools.

Private Schools Admissions and Exam Schedule

Private schools, as announced by Abrar Ahmad Khan, President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association APPSMA, will open admissions on February 1. Their annual exams will take place in February, and the new academic year will begin in March.
