Punjab Higher Education Department has announced the initial plan for the reopening of inter and degree colleges and the department has also announced the online registration of the 1st year students. It is suggested that the registration of the inter part 1 students will be carried out from 10 July and the admission of the students will be confirmed after matric class results being announced by the respective boards. Higher Education Department received the suggestions to start the educational activities in the colleges and it is also proposed to start the first year registration of the candidates will be started from 10 July online and when the educational boards will announce their matric class result, the admissions of the candidates in the colleges will be confirmed. The colleges will be opened phase wise and the BS Hons classes will be started from 05 August and the classes of the master degree programs will be started from 15 August. The students of the 2nd year will start their academic session from 25 August. The duration of the different classes will also be announced and the Honors classes will attend the colleges from morning till 12 noon while the master degree classes will start their academic activities from 12 noon to 04 pm. The final approval of the proposals will be provided in Inter provincial ministerial meeting. At this time, 615 out of 720 colleges in Punjab have started their online classes.
