The School of Nursing is now accepting applications for its 4-year Degree Program in Generic BSN Bachelor of Science in Nursing .

Eligibility Criteria for BSN:

To be considered for admission to the Generic BSN program at the School of Nursing, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Matric with Science: You should have passed your Matriculation exams with a focus on Science subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, in line with the criteria set by the Higher Education Commission HEC and the Pakistan Nursing Council PNC.

F.Sc Pre-Medical: Alternatively, if you have completed your F.Sc Pre-Medical with a minimum of 50% marks, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects, you are eligible to apply.

SZABMU Entry Test: Passing the Entry Test conducted by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University SZABMU, Islamabad, is a prerequisite for admission.

Age Limit: Applicants should be between 16 to 35 years of age.

Allocation of Seats as per Quota:

The School of Nursing at PIMS offers a limited number of seats based on different quotas:

Open Merit: 5 seats
Islamabad Capital Territory: 10 seats
Punjab: 15 seats
Sindh Rural: 2 seats
Sindh Urban: 2 seats
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa/FATA: 5 seats
Baluchistan: 2 seats
Gilgit Baltistan: 1 seat
Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 1 seat
PIMS Employee: 5 seats
Disabled Quota: 1 seat
Minority Quota: 1 seat

If you meet the eligibility criteria and wish to apply for the BSN program at the School of Nursing, please follow these application instructions:

Admission Form & Prospectus: You can obtain the admission form and prospectus by paying Rs. 2000/- from the School of Nursing PIMS, Islamabad. These will be available starting from October 28, 2023.

Submitting the Application: Complete application forms should be submitted to the specified address on or before November 14, 2023. Make sure to include copies of the required documents, including two passport-size photographs, a copy of your CNIC, and your Matric and F.Sc result cards, including subject-wise marks.

Timeliness and Completeness: Late applications and those with incomplete documents will not be entertained.

Communication: Successful candidates will be informed of their selection at their home address.

Equivalence Certificate: An equivalence certificate from the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen IBCC in Islamabad is a mandatory requirement.

Please note that applicants will be conditionally selected based on their entry test results and the information provided in their admission forms. Credential verification will take place, and if any discrepancies are found, admission may be canceled at any stage of the program. The admission process will adhere to the merit policies outlined by HEC and SZABMU.

Additionally, its important to note that hostel accommodations will be available only for female students and not for male students. The program will strive to maintain a ratio of 90% female and 10% male candidates.
