PhD Programs Admissions 2025 open in University of Karachi

The Institute of Clinical Psychology ICP at the University of Karachi invites applications for admission in its highly specialized programs for the academic session 2025. Established in 1983, ICP is recognized by the Higher Education Commission HEC and is the first institute of its kind in Pakistan, offering advanced education, research, and professional training in mental health fields.

M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology 2 Years Coursework, research thesis, psychodiagnostic and psychotherapy training

Post Magistral Diploma in Clinical Psychology PMDCP 1 Year Coursework, supervised internship, applied research

Diploma in Rehabilitation of Childhood Disorders DRCD Evening Program 1 Year Training in child disorders, speech/language therapy, internship

Post Magistral Diploma in Addiction Sciences PMDAS 1 Year Training in addiction treatment, research, internship, support for international certification

Diploma in Complementary Therapy DCT/NLP – Hypnosis & Neuro-Linguistic Programming 1 Year Part-time Professional training in hypnosis and NLP techniques

Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology:

M.Phil./MS in Clinical Psychology with minimum CGPA 3.0 and a 6-credit-hour thesis from an HEC-recognized institution.

M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology / PMDCP:

MA/MSc or BS 4 years in Psychology with at least second class from an HEC-recognized university.

DRCD Child Rehabilitation:

MA/MSc or BS 4 years in Psychology or Special Education with minimum second class.

PMDAS Addiction Sciences:

MBBS with house job, or MA/MSc second class in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or Nursing from an HEC-recognized university.

DCT/NLP Hypnotherapy:

MA/MSc or BS 4 years in Psychology with at least second division.
