Admissions Open 2023 for Fellowship Training at Postgraduate Medical Institute - January 2024 The Postgraduate Medical Institute PGMI in Hayatabad, Peshawar, is pleased to announce that admissions for Fellowship Training are now open for the January 2024 intake. This opportunity is exclusively available to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Domicile holder doctors who have successfully passed the FCPS-1 Exam before October 15, 2023. The PGMI offers Fellowship training in various specialties across its affiliated accredited teaching units and institutions, providing a significant platform for medical professionals to advance their knowledge and skills.

The PGMI offers a unique and comprehensive Fellowship Training program with several notable features:

Eligibility: Applicants must hold Khyber Pakhtunkhwa domicile and have successfully cleared the FCPS-1 Exam before October 15, 2023.

Affiliated Institutions: The Fellowship Training is conducted in collaboration with a range of reputable institutions, including MTI LRH, MTI KTH/KMC, MTI HMC/KGMC/IKD, MTI ATH/ACD, MTI MMC, MTI GMC, MTI QHAMC, MTI GKMC/BKMC, MTI KCD, MTI PIC, STH/SCD, DHQTH/KIDS/LMH Kohat, MTI KGNTH Bannu, all CMHs of KP, AFPGMI Rawalpindi, and private sector affiliated hospitals such as NWGH, RMI, PMC, AIMC, and WMDC.

Stipendiary & Supervisory Slots: Admitted candidates will have the opportunity to choose from stipendiary and supervisory slots based on their preferences and availability.

Applicants are advised to consider the following crucial points:

Seat Allocation: The allocation of seats for FCPS first fellowship & second fellowship will be conducted through software. In the event of any technical issues with the software, an alternative interview procedure will be announced on the PGMI website.

Application Deadline: No applications will be accepted after the specified due date. Corrections for deficiencies, wrong information, and mistakes in the forms will only be allowed after the submission of a correction fee of Rs. 5000.

FCPS-1 Exemption Letter: Those applying for FCPS-II training based on the CPSP FCPS-1 exemption letter must submit the relevant letter along with their application. The FCPS-1 exemption letter should be issued by CPSP on or before the closing date.

FCPS-1 Result: Candidates applying for the second fellowship should provide a congratulation letter, election letter, or email from CPSP along with their online application. The FCPS-1 result must be announced on or before the closing date.

Document Submission: Original documents not photocopies should be scanned for uploading during the application process. Any concealment of information, submission of fake documents, or incorrect information entry will result in termination of training and reporting to relevant medical authorities.

Selected applicants should submit hard copies of the application form and documents to the CEOs office at PGMI, Phase N, Hayatabad, Peshawar.

Responsibility for Entries: PGMI will not be responsible for wrong entries or choices made during the online form-filling process.

Foreign Candidates: Foreign candidates should apply through their respective government to the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. If selected, they will be required to pay $600 annually, in addition to the application processing fee. The stipend for foreign nationals will be paid by PGMI as per the Executive Council decision.

Application Processing Fee: A non-refundable and non-transferable application processing fee of Rs. 5000 is applicable. If an applicant mistakenly deposits the fee more than once for one application, none of it will be refunded.

Domicile Requirements: The permanent address on the CNIC of applicants must be from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In the case of married female candidates, the permanent address on the CNIC of the husband must also be from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
