Pakistan has achieved an impressive feat in the Times Higher Education THE Asia University Rankings 2025, with 47 universities earning positions among the regions top research institutions. This marks a significant advancement in the global recognition of Pakistans higher education landscape, with Quaid-i-Azam University leading the charge for the country and several other institutions making notable strides in the rankings. The students can get fresh updates of 47 Pakistani Universities Rank Among Asia’s Best in THE Asia University Rankings 2025.

Despite not qualifying for rankings, these institutions still contribute to the overall representation of Pakistans higher education system. In total, the THE Asia University Rankings 2025 evaluated 853 universities from 35 countries using 18 performance indicators covering aspects like teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and global outlook.

 

With 47 universities in the rankings, Pakistan has solidified its place as the sixth most-represented country in Asia and holds a shared 14th global ranking with Taiwan. This represents a 17.5% increase from last years 40 ranked universities, continuing a consistent upward trajectory from 2021s 16 ranked institutions.
