ANNOUNCEMENT FOR REGISTERED ENGINEERS:

Pakistan Engineering Council PEC 23rd ENGINEERING PRACTICE EXAMINATION admission for Spring-2024

The Pakistan Engineering Council, operating under the provisions of the PEC Act, 1976 and PDE Byelaws-2008, is pleased to announce the 23rd Engineering Practice Examination EPE for Registered Engineers RES. This examination serves as a gateway for eligible engineers to attain the esteemed title of Professional Engineer PE.

Date and Venue:
The examination is scheduled to be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024, simultaneously across various proposed cities. The cities and their respective modes of examination are as follows:

Computer Based EPE: Islamabad, Rawalpindi Initially
Paper Based EPE: Sukkur, Peshawar, Lahore, Swat, Multan, Quetta, Rahim Yar Khan, Khuzdar, Karachi, Hyderabad/Jamshoro, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad AJK

Eligibility Criteria:
All Registered Engineers RES with PEC are eligible to apply for the examination provided they meet the following criteria:

Graduated on or after January 15, 2008.
Possess a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the relevant field of engineering since registration with PEC until the closing date of application submission.
Accumulated 17 Continuing Professional Development CPD points, with a maximum of 10 points from work/job experience and 7 points from other CPD categories.
Re-appearance Option:
Candidates who have previously appeared in any of the 20th, 21st, and 22nd EPE examinations but failed to qualify any part are eligible to re-apply for the NOT QUALIFIED part.

Application Process:
Eligible Registered Engineers RES can apply through the provided link on the PEC website. Detailed information regarding the exam format, syllabi, study materials, and guidelines are available on the PEC website under the CPD link.

Fees:
The prescribed examination fee is Rs. 5,000 + Bank Charges for both parts and Rs. 2,500 + Bank Charges for a single part. The fee should be deposited in the designated PEC HBL account by March 18, 2024.

Important Note:
It is essential to note that the Computer Based 23rd EPE will be conducted initially at Islamabad and Rawalpindi centers only. Candidates opting for these centers will attempt the exam through computers. However, all candidates have the option to select Paper Based EPE in other designated centers.
