Over 43,000 Textbooks Stolen from Government School

In an alarming case of educational resource theft, a massive 43,665 government textbooks have been reported stolen from a school warehouse in Tounsa, Punjab. The incident has sparked a full-fledged police investigation, with officials registering a case at Tounsa City Police Station.
According to reports, the missing books were intended for distribution to students in government-run schools later this month. However, before they could reach their destination, they vanished under mysterious circumstances. The Assistant Education Officer has been identified as a key suspect, along with seven others, including school guards and warehouse custodians.
Police officials have launched an extensive inquiry into the case, aiming to trace the stolen books and apprehend those involved. The incident has raised concerns about the security of educational resources in government institutions, and authorities are under pressure to recover the stolen textbooks before the academic schedule is disrupted.
