Opportunity for Merit & Need-Based Scholarships

The District Administration of Khairpur proudly introduces the Merit and Need-Based Scholarship for the year 2024, aimed at assisting talented and deserving students from the Khairpur District. This scholarship is exclusively available to students hailing from Khairpur and studying in various public-sector institutes, colleges, and universities across Pakistan, with preference given to those recognized by the Higher Education Commission HEC. Application Details:

Interested candidates can submit their applications within one month of the scholarship announcement date, which falls on February 26. The deadline for submission is March 25, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants, along with their fathers or guardians, must hold Domicile and Permanent Resident Certificates PRCs of the Khairpur District.
Candidates must have achieved a minimum of 75% marks in their most recent examination. For those under the CGPA system, a minimum CGPA of 3.00 is required for merit consideration.
Only yearly marks certificates, issued not earlier than 2019, will be considered valid.
Students from diverse disciplines such as BSc/M.Sc/B.S 4-Year, BCS/BIT/MIT, B.Ed 4-Year, B.E/B.Tech 4-Year/MBBS/BDS/DVM/BSc.Engineering Technology, B.A/LLB/BBA/BPA/M.A/MBA/MPA Regular students, and Diploma of Associate Engineer DAE are encouraged to apply.

Additional Information:

Students financing their education in public sector universities/colleges are not eligible for this scholarship.
Students enrolled in MS/MPhil/ME/LLM/Ph.D. programs are also ineligible.
A minimum of 10% of scholarships are reserved for females, 5% for minorities, and 5% for persons with disabilities. Any unused slots from these categories will be transferred to open merit.
Scholarship amounts will be directly disbursed to the bank accounts of eligible students.

Application Process and Required Documents:

Candidates must obtain the Scholarship Application Form 2024 from the Scholarship Cell at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner/Chairman Need-Cum-Merit Scholarship Board, Khairpur, or download it from the official website or Facebook page.
The application form is applicable only for the 2023-24 academic year.
Applicants must furnish a certificate from the Head of Department of their respective institution, demonstrating enrollment.
Required documents include attested copies of Domicile and PRC, CNIC or NADRA form if underage, Student ID card, Matriculation Pass Certificate, Original Marks Certificate of the last examination passed, Income Certificate of the father/guardian, and a recent passport-size photograph.

Complete applications, accompanied by a covering letter from the Head of the Institution, must reach the Scholarship Cell/Branch at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner/Chairman Need-Cum-Merit Scholarship Board, Khairpur Mirs, by March 25, 2024. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
