OGDCL & IBA Karachi Scholarship Program

In collaboration with the Institute of Business Administration IBA Karachi, the Oil & Gas Development Company Limited OGDCL has introduced the OGDCL Talent Hunt Program. This initiative aims to extend scholarships to deserving students hailing from diverse provinces of Pakistan. Under this program, undergraduate scholarships are offered alongside the Qarz-e-Hasna facility for eligible candidates. Program Overview:

The IBA - OGDCL Talent Hunt Program seeks to identify and nurture talented students from specific districts across Pakistan. Successful candidates will undergo skill development and training at IBA Karachi, with the goal of securing admission to a four-year undergraduate degree program at the institute. Additionally, upon admission, students may qualify for a comprehensive four-year scholarship or access to the Qarz-e-Hasna facility.

Application Procedure:

Prospective candidates who successfully clear the Orientation Assessment test and Interview and aspire to pursue an undergraduate degree at IBA Karachi are encouraged to apply. Following the completion of Orientation training, applicants will be required to undertake IBA’s Admission test for undergraduate programs.

Eligibility Criteria for Scholarships:

Candidates must hold domicile from the designated districts.
Applicants who passed the HSSC-I examination in 2022 and intend to sit for the HSSC-II examination in 2023 are eligible.
Candidates who completed the HSSC-II examination in 2022 are also eligible to apply.

Orientation Program Highlights:

The OGDCL IBA Orientation Program spans two months and includes:

Orientation training led by experienced IBA faculty and mentors
SAT-format aptitude test preparation
Workshops on presentation & communication skills
Personalized tutoring & guidance sessions
Simulated exams & panel interviews
Engaging guest speaker sessions
All-expenses-covered travel, boarding & lodging arrangements for outstation participants
Monthly stipend provision for selected participants

Application commencement: March 01, 2024
Application deadline: March 25, 2024
Assessment Test for the Orientation Program: April 28, 2024
Result Announcement: May 12, 2024
Telephonic Panel Interviews: May 17-19, 2024
Final Shortlisted candidates’ announcement: May 20, 2024
