O-Level & A-Level Exams to Proceed As Per Schedule

Islamabad Capital Territory ICT administration has confirmed that while preparations are underway for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization SCO meeting, most educational institutions in the Federal Capital will be closed. However, students appearing for O-Level and A-Level exams will not be affected, as their exams will continue as planned. Exams to Proceed Without Disruption
Deputy Commissioner DC Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, has reassured students and parents that O-Level and A-Level exams will go on as scheduled. The city-wide closures will not impact the three designated examination centers, which will remain open to ensure the exams are conducted smoothly.
Specific Exam Centers Open During Closures
The A-Level and O-Level exams are scheduled to take place at three specific centers: E-11, Noormahal G.T. Road, and H-8. These centers will operate as usual to allow students to attend their exams without any disturbances, while the rest of the educational institutions across Islamabad will remain closed for the duration of the SCO event.
Clarification on Rumored Venue Closures
In addition to addressing concerns about exam schedules, the district administration has also dismissed rumors regarding the closure of restaurants, cafes, and wedding halls during the SCO meeting. Officials clarified that no instructions have been issued to close these venues during the event.
Traffic Restrictions During SCO Event
Though wedding halls and other public venues will remain open, they must follow the traffic management plan implemented by local authorities. Certain roads near the SCO meeting location will be temporarily closed, and traffic in the surrounding areas will face restrictions during the event.
