The National University of Medical Sciences NUMS has officially opened admissions for the MBBS/BDS Session 2024-25. The NUMS Medical and Dental College Admission Test MDCAT-2024 is scheduled for Sunday, 01 September 2024. This crucial test is mandatory for all applicants seeking admission into the following NUMS constituent, affiliated, and military-administered medical and dental colleges:


In the public sector, the test is required for Army Medical College, Rawalpindi. In the private sector, it is necessary for institutions such as Bahria University Medical and Dental College in Karachi, CMH Institute of Medical Sciences in Bahawalpur Cantt, CMH Kharian Medical College in Kharian Cantt, CMH Lahore Medical College and Institute of Dentistry in Lahore Cantt, CMH Multan Institute of Medical Sciences in Multan Cantt, Fazaia Medical College in Islamabad, Fazaia Ruth Pfau Medical College in Karachi, Foundation University Medical College in Islamabad, HITEC Institute of Medical Sciences in Taxila Cantt, Karachi Institute of Medical Sciences in Malir Cantt, Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences in Quetta Cantt, and Wah Medical College in Wah Cantt.


For the public sector dental college, the test is necessary for the Dental Section Army Medical College in Rawalpindi. In the private sector, it includes Bahria University Medical and Dental College in Karachi, CIMS Dental Section in Multan, CMH Lahore Medical College and Institute of Dentistry in Lahore Cantt, Foundation University College of Dentistry in Islamabad, HITEC Dental College in Taxila Cantt, and NUST School of Health Sciences in Islamabad.


Key dates for registration include the regular online registration period from 20 June 2024 to 10 July 2024, with a fee of Rs. 5,200. The late registration period extends from 11 July 2024 to 17 July 2024, with a late fee of Rs. 6,200. For international exam centers, the regular fee is Rs. 32,000, and the late fee is Rs. 42,000.


Eligibility criteria include valid Pakistani citizenship, Overseas Pakistanis, Dual Nationals, and Foreign Nationals. Candidates with FSC/HSSC/A-Levels/12th Grade qualifications or those awaiting results can apply.


The MDCAT NUMS-2024 will be conducted in various cities across Pakistan, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, and at international centers such as Saudi Arabia. For detailed guidelines and syllabus, candidates must visit the NUMS website at www.numspak.edu.pk. This test is vital for securing a seat in the prestigious medical and dental colleges under NUMS.
