Admission for Session 2023-24 at National University of Medical Sciences NUMS

1. Eligibility Criteria for Open Merit Seats:

To be eligible for admission to the Army Medical College, Rawalpindi, through open merit seats, you must meet the following requirements:

a. Citizenship: You must be a Pakistani citizen, including those from AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan.

b. MDCAT NUMS Examination: You are required to pass the MDCAT NUMS-2023, held on Sunday, 03 September 2023. The pass percentage for MDCAT is 55% for MBBS Program and 50% for BDS Program.

c. Academic Qualifications: You should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in FSC Pre-Medical or an equivalent qualification. You must have completed at least twelve years of education in three subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics.

2. Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Seats:

If you are a foreign student with dual nationality or an overseas Pakistani and have completed your HSSC 12th grade examination or equivalent from outside Pakistan, you are eligible for foreign seats. You must possess a certificate from the institution you last attended to prove your foreign status.

Online Registration with Late Fee Ends: Friday, 27 October 2023, by 1600 hours.
Display of Merit List MBBS: Wednesday, 15 November 2023.
Display of Merit List BDS: Thursday, 28 December 2023.
Commencement of Classes MBBS: Monday, 15 January 2024.
Commencement of Classes BDS: Monday, 22 January 2024.


Possession of a CNIC is mandatory for students aged 18 and above at the time of admission.
Candidates with foreign qualifications, such as O/A Levels, must upload the equivalence certificate issued by IBCC at the time of the online application submission.
3. Special Program Seats for Foreign Students:

Foreign students applying for special program seats predefined exclusively for foreign students or reserved for overseas Pakistanis are exempt from the MDCAT requirement. However, they must qualify in the foreign MCAT examination or UCAT examination with a minimum of 50% marks in each subject.

4. Merit Determination and Admission Schedule:

HSSC/F.Sc Pre-Medical Equivalent: 40%
SSC/Matric/Equivalent: 10%
Online Registration for Admissions Starts: Wednesday, 04 October 2023.
Online Registration with Regular Fee Ends: Friday, 20 October 2023, by 1600 hours.
Applications for improved results of FSC/HSSC/A-Level/12th Grade will be entertained till 10 November 2023 only.

Applications must be submitted online, and hard copies will not be accepted.
Applicants must visit the nearest branch of Habib Bank Ltd countrywide to deposit the Application Processing Fee of Rs. 5,000 For Open Merit Seat/Rs. 30,000 For Foreign Seat non-refundable/non-transferable by Friday, 20 October 2023, by 1600 hours.
Candidates applying as Paying Cadets to W & R Dte, GHQ, must apply online for NUMS Public Sector Army Medical College on Open Merit Seat.
Matric/SSC/O-Level/10th Grade and FSC/HSSC/A-Level/12th Grade Certificates must be IBCC issued and attested.
