No University Ranking for Online Readiness by HEC

Higher Education Commission has clarified that it has not evaluated or issued the universities ranking for the online readiness. No University Ranking for Online Readiness by HEC. There were some reports published in the newspapers regarding the rankings of the universities.
HEC asked the universities to self report their readiness and share it with the people. So far, total 138 universities submitted the information and it is provided online and there are remaining universities, which have to submit their reports. The main purpose of the information provision online is to help them to improve their performance rather than the making rankings of the universities. The figures associated with different universities refer to the quantum of the information, the universities have to submit by the due date. The people should not take it as the comparison or reflection of quality of their online education.
The faculty members deliver the 108,084 out of total 112,109 online courses to the students. There are 42,392 faculty members out of 48,851 faculty members, who received the training to impart online education to the students and it shows 86.7%, who started online education since the outbreak of this pandemic. There are 127 universities out of 138, which reported that they started providing their access to the digital library to the students.
HEC will evaluate the information, when it is completed by the universities and after that it will be shared to press if the qualitative ranking is developed. The universities may not claim that they have been rated or ranked by HEC as they have done 100% compliance to their requirements.
