New Academic Year Starts from 01 June in Sindh Provinc

The Ministry of Education Sindh has already conducted the meeting of the steering committee and the ministry has issued the notification regarding the commencement of the new academic year in the educational institutes across Sindh province. The Ministry has issued the complete policy for the coming academic year 2020-21. New Academic Year Starts from 01 June in Sindh Province.


According to the notification, the new academic year in the government and private schools and colleges will be started from 01 June after the vacations, which have already been announced due to spread of Coronavirus pandemic in the country. The educational institutes, which fall under Cambridge system, they will start their academic year from 01 August. In the policy statement, different decisions have been made regarding the classes, exams and new admission policy. The students of class one to three will be promoted after their written exams and the assessment.


The government schools will manage the annual exams from class 4th to 8th from first June to 15 June and from 15 June, all educational boards of Sindh will manage the matric class part 1 and 2 annual exams and the boards will announce 9th class result within 60 days after finishing of the exams while the education boards will declare the SSC part 1 and 2 result till 15 August.

The educational boards will start the intermediate part 1 and 2 annual exams from 6 July and the boards will announce their 11th class result within 60 days of the exams and the boards will declare their HSSC part 1 and 2 exams results will be declared by the final date of 15 September. The students will also note that admissions in class 1 to 9 will be held from 01 June to 10 June. When the educational boards will announce their matric class result, the admissions in the first year classes will be held.
