NAVTTC UNHCR Skill Development Programs 2024

The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission NAVTTC, in collaboration with UNHCR, is expanding its Skill Development Program to facilitate Afghan migrants and Pakistani host communities in leading secure and sustainable lives. Selected candidates will be equipped with market-oriented skills through renowned Technical and Vocational Education and Training TVET institutes across the country, empowering them to become dignified and self-reliant individuals.

During the six-month training period, candidates will receive a monthly stipend of PKR 6000, enabling them to meet their basic needs while pursuing employment opportunities or starting their own businesses upon completion. Additionally, NAVTTC will provide tool kits in their designated trades, further facilitating their journey towards self-sufficiency.

The program covers a wide range of trades including jewelry making, fashion designing, electrical engineering, and solar PV installation and repair, among others. It aims to address the diverse needs of both urban and rural communities, ensuring that individuals are equipped with relevant skills that are in demand in the job market.

Applicants must hold valid Afghan Refugee POR cards or Pakistani CNICs to be eligible for the program. Furthermore, candidates with a passion for learning and no prior criminal record are encouraged to apply. Final selection will be based on interviews conducted by respective institutes, scheduled for April 10, 2024.
