National Skills University Achieves Global Recognition

National Skills University Islamabad NSU has been awarded candidacy for the prestigious “Committed to Excellence” certification and badge by the International Self-Assessment Tool for Centres of Vocational Excellence ISATCOVE. Backed by the European Commission and managed by the European Training Foundation ETF, this recognition places NSU among a distinguished group of institutions striving for excellence in vocational education globally. Commendation for Advancing Standards

In a formal letter to NSU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mukhtar, the university was commended for successfully completing the ISATCOVE self-assessment. The letter acknowledged NSU’s commitment to advancing vocational education and fostering continuous improvement. It stated:
“The Committed to Excellence certificate and badge recognize your institution’s active participation in ISATCOVE self-assessment. This achievement supports a culture of improvement by helping institutions identify areas for growth and implement effective strategies to reach vocational excellence.”

 

ISATCOVE’s Role in Transforming Vocational Education

ISATCOVE was introduced in 2023 to improve vocational education and training VET standards globally. By 2024-25, the program expanded to include select VET providers, offering a robust framework of mentorship, training, and improvement strategies to enhance educational outcomes.

 

Appreciation for Faculty Contributions

Vice Chancellor Dr. Mukhtar expressed heartfelt appreciation for the dedication of NSU faculty members, particularly Prof. Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad and Ms. Spogmai Shahab, as well as the broader team. He highlighted the significance of this accomplishment, stating:
“This recognition is a testament to NSU’s unwavering commitment to technical and vocational education excellence. It motivates us to continue setting international s in this field.”

The press release emphasized that Educational Institutions achievement under ISATCOVE aligns with its ongoing efforts to expand global collaborations. As a member of the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, NSU actively fosters innovation, shares best practices, and builds international networks to advance vocational education on a global scale.
