The monthly stipend comprises Rs. 5,000 as a basic allowance and an additional Rs. 5,000 as a conveyance allowance. However, eligibility for the stipend is contingent on maintaining a minimum 80% attendance. Notably, classes at the Garden Town school have been scheduled for the first three days of the week since the previous year.
Comprehensive Educational Support
As part of this initiative, intersex students not only receive the monthly stipend but also enjoy benefits such as free education, textbooks, and meals. The program aims to ensure quality education by employing experienced teachers dedicated to instructing these students.
Inauguration and Expansion
It is worth mentioning that the first school dedicated to the morphodite community was inaugurated in December of the preceding year by the former Education Minister Murad Raas. This groundbreaking effort is not exclusive to Lahore, as similar schools have been established in other districts of Punjab, including Multan, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan.
