Medical & Dental Colleges Follow PMDC Admission Policy

Islamabad, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council asked to all government and private sector medical and dental colleges and universities to follow the policy of PMDC. The colleges and university should admission to the students on 85% open merit and 15% on the foreign quota seats at the time of admission for the academic session 2018.
The official of PMDC states that the new admission policy for the medical and dental colleges shows that if the foreign or self finance seat remains empty due to non availability of the eligible candidates then it would be transferred to the open merit quota automatically and the candidates will be charged fee and set the charges for the open merit seat. It is also stated that if an aspirant has permanent foreign nationality, dual nationality or status of overseas Pakistani or he got education and passed the secondary and higher secondary school exams or equivalent outside the country, then he will be given admission in the medical and dental colleges in the government and private sector for foreign quota seats. It is also said that the medical and dental colleges and universities will announce their admission procedure in their affiliated colleges with the detail of open merit and foreign quota seats and their merit list will be displayed on the official website of the university. The selected candidates will have to pay the admission fee within one week after their admission in the college.
The medical college will announce their fee and the online official bank account number on their official website. The tuition fee of the local students would be Rs.642,000/- yearly and the fee for the foreign graduates would be USD 18,000 yearly. It is also said that the medical and dental colleges will publicize or process admissions or admit the students before 31 October or before the display of the merit list of the government medical colleges of the respective province.
