Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board issued the orders to ban the mathematics book of the children, which was taught in the schools and this book carries the images of the pigs, which were used to solve the basic arithmetic questions to the young kids. Math Book Using Images of Pigs Banned.

When the parents of the school going children watches these pigs images in the Maths books, they raised their concerns and they were furious over this situation. This issue was raised so much that the textbook has to take the steps to put ban the book having the images of the pigs. The notification issued by the PTCB said that the booklet titled Infant Mathematics has been prohibited as the publisher of this book, M/S Sunrise Publications did not obtain the prior approval from PTCB of the publication of this book.

Now the PTCB has taken the step and the action is initiated against the publisher for the publishing and selling of this booklet without getting formal approval from PTCB. This action of the publisher is the clear violation of Section 10 of Punjab Curriculum and Textbooks Board Act 2015. PTCB has also issued the necessary directives to the publishers to stop the printing, producing, publishing and selling of the math book. If any institution is using this book, it has been asked to comply with the directives issued by PTCB and submit the compliance report within seven working days.
