National Outreach Program NOP: Bridging Educational Gaps

The National Outreach Program NOP by LUMS is a testament to its commitment to inclusivity and equal access to quality education. The NOP aims to identify and support talented students across Pakistan who lack the financial means to pursue higher education at LUMS. Through NOP, LUMS offers 100% educational scholarships along with additional assistance to deserving candidates.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

To qualify for NOP, students must have a minimum score of 80 in Matriculation or O-Levels and demonstrate financial need. The application process begins while students are studying for Intermediate or the first year of A-Levels. The deadline for application submission for the 2024 session is March 12, 2024.

Selection Process: Journey to LUMS

Selected candidates undergo a rigorous selection process, starting with a Summer Coaching Session held at LUMS. This two-week session aims to prepare students for the challenges of higher education and academic excellence. While attendance at the coaching session is mandatory, it does not guarantee admission or scholarship.

Upon successful completion of the coaching session, candidates proceed to the internal exam and subsequently submit the LUMS admission form online. Meeting all academic and curricular criteria qualifies students as LUMS NOP Scholars, paving their way to a transformative educational journey.

Academic Offerings: Diverse Opportunities

LUMS offers a wide array of academic programs through its four schools:

School of Humanities and Social Sciences: Offering BA Honours programs in English, History, Comparative Literary & Cultural Studies, and BSc Honours programs in Anthropology/Sociology, Economics, Political Science, among others.

Suleman Dawood School of Business: Providing BSc Honours programs in Accounting & Finance, Management Science, and BA Honours in Economics.

Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law: Offering BA-LL.B Honours program.

Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering: Providing BSc Honours and BS programs in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and interdisciplinary programs like Economics & Mathematics.

Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali School of Education: Offering minors in Education, Education with Policy and Governance, and Education with Curriculum and Instruction.
