LUMHS Admissions 2025 PhD Programs

Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences LUMHS, Jamshoro, a leading medical institution in Sindh, is pleased to announce that admissions are now open for its Ph.D. Program in Epidemiology & Public Health for the session 2024–2025. Applications are invited from eligible candidates who meet the universitys admission criteria.

LUMHS Admissions Offered Program

Ph.D. in Epidemiology & Public Health
Duration: 3 Years

 Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification:

Must hold an M.Phil or equivalent qualification with at least a 3.0 CGPA Semester System or 1st Division Annual System.

Degree equivalence must be verified by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC or HEC for foreign qualifications.

Medical Background:

Must have completed MBBS/BDS from a PMDC-recognized institution Schedule I or II.

A one-year house job in a recognized teaching hospital is mandatory.

Must possess a valid PMDC registration.

Additional Requirements:

Preference will be given to candidates with research experience and publications.

Applicants must pass a Computer-Based Subject Test conducted by the Postgraduate Medical Centre, LUMHS.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview by the Postgraduate Committee.

Age Limit:

Private candidates: under 40 years

In-service candidates: under 45 years

In-service applicants must submit a No Objection Certificate NOC from their current employer. An advance copy is acceptable at the time of application.

A non-refundable fee of PKR 7,500 for application processing and test must be paid through the online challan form available on the website.

Applicants who have previously submitted forms for the Ph.D. program do not need to reapply. Their applications will be considered.

Deadline to Apply: June 23, 2025

No applications will be accepted after the deadline.

 Important Notes

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

No separate call letters will be issued for the entry test or interviews. Candidates should regularly visit the university website for updates.
