New Schedule for Winter Season In a recent development, Punjab Education Department has issued a notice announcing adjusted timings for both public and private schools in Lahore during the winter season. Timings for Boys Schools

For boys schools, the new timings dictate that they will be open from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm on Monday through Thursday and Saturday. However, Fridays will see a full-day schedule from 8:30 am to 12:15 pm, ensuring a seamless educational experience.

Timings for Girls Schools

In contrast, girls schools in the provincial capital will start their day slightly earlier, at 8:15 am, and conclude at 2:15 pm on Monday through Thursday and Saturday. Fridays will wrap up their sessions at 12:00 pm, allowing students to begin their weekend early.

Double Shift Schools

For schools operating in double shifts, the first shift will kick off at 7:45 am, continuing until 12:15 pm without any breaks on Monday through Thursday and Saturday. The second shift, starting at 12:30 pm, will extend until 5:00 pm on the same days. However, Fridays will have a later start at 1:30 pm and finish at 5:30 pm, providing a modified schedule to conclude the school week.

Effective Dates

Its important to note that these adjusted timings came into effect on October 16 and will remain unchanged until April 14, 2024, ensuring a consistent and convenient schedule for students and educational institutions in Lahore throughout the winter months.
