KPITB Initiates Durshal Center in Mardan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) has launched the new project, Durshal in Mardan and this project will help the young businessmen to develop their businesses. KPITB has started this project to bring the technological revolution to province and it will help the youth to jump start the careers.

Durshal means ‘doorstep’ and KPITB has the hope to open the new doors to collaboration, innovation and start the new businesses. At this moment, the KPK Minister for Health and IT, Shahram Khan Tarakai and Provincial Education Minister, Atif Khan were present in this ceremony.
The project coordinator, Sadaf Shaheen of this program says that many other programs are going to be started very soon and it is the first one of this series. Other centers would be set up in Peshawar, Haripur, Swat, Kohat, DI Khan and Swabi. He further added that they are going to enable the youth to start their own business in order to create the job opportunities rather than looking for the jobs themselves. The introduction of the center will boost the digital economy of KPK. Under Durshal project, following centers have been started initially.
• Durshal Community Innovation Labs – It is developed to promote entrepreneurship, community development and the digital skills..
• Durshal GIL Government Innovation Lab – it is developed to provide solutions to revolutionize the government processes.
• Durshal Access Outreach Program – It is used as the latest tools to promote effective internet use and it helps to reduce the digital divide.
