New Schedule for Intermediate Exams
Alongside the matriculation exams, the intermediate examinations have also been delayed. Originally set for April 10, they will now take place on May 7. This decision provides students with additional time to prepare after completing their Ramadan obligations.
Official Confirmation of the Postponement
Peshawar Board Chairman Nasrullah Khan confirmed the rescheduling, stating that the provincial government had directed all boards to implement the revised timeline. An official announcement detailing the updated exam schedule will be made following a meeting of board chairpersons later this week.
Rationale Behind the Decision
The government made this decision in response to concerns about students and teachers managing their studies while fasting. Officials acknowledged that Ramadan might affect students’ focus and performance, prompting the postponement to ensure they can take their exams under more favorable conditions.
