KP Government Postpones Matric & Inter Exams Due to Ramadan

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa KP government has decided to postpone the annual matriculation and intermediate examinations in light of the upcoming month of Ramadan. All educational boards have been instructed to adjust their schedules accordingly. Initially planned for March 5, the matric exams will now commence on April 8, following the end of Ramadan. Peshawar Board Chairman Nasrullah Khan confirmed the rescheduling, stating that the provincial government had directed all boards to implement the revised timeline. An official announcement detailing the updated exam schedule will be made following a meeting of board chairpersons later this week.

The government made this decision in response to concerns about students and teachers managing their studies while fasting. Officials acknowledged that Ramadan might affect students’ focus and performance, prompting the postponement to ensure they can take their exams under more favorable conditions.
