KP Government Free Education For Students

In a landmark move, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa KP government has unveiled a transformative initiative aimed at providing tuition-free, top-tier education to exceptionally talented students enrolled in public schools from 7th to 12th grade. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, this initiative seeks to open doors to esteemed educational institutions across the province for gifted students.
To further broaden educational horizons, the cabinet has greenlit plans to double both the monthly scholarship amount and the number of deserving beneficiaries in the scheme starting from the forthcoming academic year. Additionally, the cabinet has emphasized the importance of ensuring educational equity by tackling issues such as textbook availability and facility provision. A comprehensive study has been commissioned to compare the quality and cost of textbooks published by government and private sectors, alongside approving the reuse of existing textbooks to cater to the educational needs of KPs populace. Infrastructure Advancements
In a bid to fortify energy production and foster sustainable development, the KP cabinet has given the go-ahead to several pivotal projects. Approval has been granted for the rehabilitation and revitalization of the 17-megawatt Ranolia Hyower Project in Lower Kohistan, previously sanctioned by the Provincial Development Working Party PDWP with a budget of Rs8.1 billion. Financial backing from the Asian Development Bank has been secured for this endeavor, expected to significantly bolster the provinces annual revenue.
Furthermore, the cabinet has sanctioned land acquisition for the 88MW Gabral Kalam Hyower project in District Swat, funded by the World Bank. Once operational, this project is poised to become a major economic driver for the province. The cabinet has also greenlit additional compensation for land and property related to the implementation of the 300MW Balakot Hyower project on Kunhar River Manshera.
Modernization Initiatives
In a stride towards modernization, the cabinet has decided to transition from traditional manual registration books to state-of-the-art automated motor vehicle registration smart cards. Collaborating with the National Security Printing Company NSPC of the federal government, the Excise and Taxation Department aims to streamline the registration process and deliver more efficient services to the public.
Infrastructure and Administrative Decisions
The cabinet has endorsed the allocation of funds from the defunct FATA Development Authority for accelerated implementation programs in the merged districts. Additionally, land acquisition for the construction of the Judicial Complex at Panah Kotm Upper Dir has received approval. Moreover, the enactment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Registration of Godown Rules 2022 has been endorsed to regulate and register warehouses, ensuring a robust system for the stable supply and availability of goods.
