KEMU JCAT for MS MD & MDS Admissions 2024

King Edward Medical University KEMU Lahore has announced the KEMU MS MD and MDS Admissions 2024, inviting applications from eligible candidates. These programs are being offered in collaboration with the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department. Aspiring candidates can secure their place by appearing for the Joint Centralized Admission Test JCAT 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the KEMU Admissions 2024, candidates must hold an MBBS/BDS degree from an HEC and PM&DC/PMC recognized institution. A one-year house job from a recognized hospital is mandatory, along with a valid PM&DC/PMC registration. Applicants must also possess a CNIC/Passport and domicile certificate. Foreign nationals will be provisionally allowed for the admission test. However, providing false information or appearing for the test without meeting the eligibility criteria can lead to legal action and disqualification at any stage.

Entrance Test Details

The JCAT for MD, MS, and MDS Admissions 2024 will comprise two papers, each containing 100 MCQs. Paper-I will cover applied basic sciences and is common for all MD/MS specialties, while Paper-II will be specialty-specific. The passing marks for the entrance test are 75%. The tentative date for the entrance test is October 27, 2024. Candidates who pass the test will qualify for admission, but passing does not guarantee admission, as it depends on the overall merit.

Application Process

Candidates can apply online through the KEMU web portal starting from August 26, 2024. The application process involves registering with an email and CNIC/Passport number, filling out the required information, and submitting the fee of Rs. 10,000/- for the Specialty Based JCAT. Candidates with a valid pass result from a previous JCAT will only need to pay Rs. 6,000/- for Paper-II. The deadline for submitting the online application is September 12, 2024, by 3:00 PM.
