Karachi Inter Exams Postponement New Dates Confirmed

Board of Intermediate Education Karachi BIEK has officially confirmed the postponement of the 2025 intermediate exams. Initially slated for April 28, the exams will now begin on May 5, 2025, according to an official announcement made on Saturday. The students can get latest updates of Karachi Inter Exams Postponed: New Dates Set for 2025.
Causes for the Postponement
The delay is attributed to two major reasons: the ongoing process of awarding grace marks to first-year students of the 2024 batch and the need to accommodate matriculation exams. Several exam centers in Karachi are still being utilized for the ongoing matriculation exams, which started on April 8 and will continue until May 8.
New Schedule to Ensure Smooth Exam Process
The revised exam schedule is intended to ensure that the examination process proceeds without any issues and that there are sufficient centers available for all students. BIEK has reassured students that the new date sheet 2025 will be published soon and has encouraged students and their families to prepare according to the updated dates.
Grace Marks for First-Year Students Approved
In another important development, the Sindh Assemblys parliamentary committee has approved the granting of grace marks to first-year students who failed in their exams. This decision follows concerns raised in a report about unfair practices during the exams. Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah revealed that first-year students will receive a 15% grace mark boost in Physics and Mathematics, and 20% in Chemistry to assist those who had performed well in their matriculation exams but failed in the intermediate exams.
